Will she get heavier as she gets older? Dental question too?
SUMMARY AT BOTTOM
I have a 5.5 lb. DSH named Annabelle. Really, she’s not a very big cat. She’s at a healthy weight, in that she doesn’t have fat, you can sorta feel her ribs (but they’re no where near pronounced), and is quite active. We’ve had her for about 15 months (found her as a stray), and she’s only put on ‘essential’ weight (what she didn’t have when she was starving). Since she’s only about 2 years old, is on a mainly dry (Purina Naturals -shiver. Trying to convince mother that Innova is the way to go-) and some wet (9-Lives -Waaah D=-) diet, free fed, will she start to gain a lot more weight as she gets over, or do most cats start to put on the pounds at 2? She herself is very active without needing to be enticed, looooves to run around and chase the dog when given the chance (dog doesn’t run much), and tackle anything that resembles a string.
DENTAL QUESTION: When we got Annabelle, one of her bottom front teeth was entirely missing, and the tip of one of her flesh-shreders was gone. Her teeth are yellowish and her breath smells like fish food. What are some ways I can improve her dental health? She drinks out of the fish tank instead of the water bowl (we can’t put anything on the fish tank and it’s in really easy access for her), and won’t chew on anything if she can’t just use her back teeth and then swallow. It makes me concerned that eating hurts her. I’ve given her raw chicken before, which she adored. But, the larger the pieces, the less time she spent on them, since she couldn’t just bring it right into her mouth. A bit about the size of a baby’s fingernail? Sure. About the size of an adults? Too much.
SUMMARY:
My cat is 5.5 lbs and 2 years old. Her diet is pretty low quality yet she is very active. will she put on more weight as she ages?
My cat has broken and missing teeth. If food is bigger then a dime, she won’t eat it. How can I improve her dental health? (her teeth were cracked and missing when we found her as a stray)

Very true. I’ve been bugging my mom about getting the cat and dog’s teeth cleaned, but neither of my parents have a lot of funds to fork up for a vet visit (middle of a divorce), so I was wondering something else- I’ve heard bones and raw food can do good for teeth. True? False? Pinkies?
Alright, I’ll talk to my mom about brining her to the vet. Aren’t only some vets equipped with the right equipment to clean teeth? What are some in WI with the proper equipment who aren’t too expensive?
Is there a limit amount for child support extraordinary expenses?
Hello,
I live in Canada. My child is moving to US with the mother (who has custody). She is not american, she has a job offer for less than $1500/month and they give her a work permit.
In Canada the baby has health care (gov.), extended and dental health care (from my job), free education, his own house/room and extras, I put more than $500/month in tuition funds for his university and more. I don’t need a cent from the mother.
In the US the baby wont have any of these, so they become “extraordinary expenses” and the mother can’t afford them, so she’s asking me to pay 83% of them. They’re much more expensive there and in US$.
Plus, she has extra expenses like daycare (US$800/month).
So, now these numbers are above 60% of my salary and I can’t live with only 40%. Plus, I can’t save for my child’s university anymore.
Is there a limit in cases like this for extraordinary expenses? considering that is only her decision to go to US.

Does anyone have full health, dental and vision insurance that costs close to McCain’s $2500 tax credit?
My individual insurance costs around $7000 a year. I expect it to go up. I have friends that pay more on individual plans just for medical. If McCain’s plan were in effect many businesses would no longer be allowed to deduct the costs of the health-care they provide and so would drop them. Anyone that had just about any pre-existing condition would not be able to purchase any reasonable insurance plan. McCain could never find a carrier himself. There are probably at least 50 million “baby-boomers that would not be able to afford insurance because just about everyone over 55 has something that could be called a pre-existing condition.
So, do you think there is affordable insurance available for most Americans based on your experience?
I guess a lot of you do not know what FULL health insurance even is…It includes everything Dental $2500 a year limit, medical with 20% max copay…but free annual exam. and vision – a ncomplete pair of glasses every other year and exam and a pair of lenses on the off year.
No way would anyone get dental for $200 a month. Get real.
Note: I have Union insurance – it is similar to what our lawmakers get. We negotiate the cost of our insurance and get better deals than a single person without a group rate. Like I said I know what i would have to pay to continue my insurance, COBRA, but I don’t know if I could BUY it (when or if) Ieft my job. It sounds like most of you do not have comprehensive insurance.
I have NO preconditions. I do not even bother to charge my insurance for my $8 a month thyroid pills…I just stated what my full boat insurance costs. It is probably more now…my insurance comes out of my wages which collects more than we need a month so we have a 12 month buffer in case work gets slow.

i am looking for a good health and dental insurance plan can n e one help?
i am needing to get a good but cheap healthcare plan but more than n e thing i need a better dental plan for my daughter. she is five and she is missing two of her teeth wich the dentist says will never come in and she has already been told that as soon as she looses all of her baby teeth she will have to have braces and then dental implants where the two teeth are missing. so we need some really good insurance because this is going to cost me a fortune if not.
