The Healthy Babies Initiative
Thanks to the support of Impact Austin, the Clinic is pleased to offer Saturday group pediatric visits. These visits began last fall and are part of the Clinic’s long-time dream of offering weekend medical care. The Saturday Clinics enable parents who work during the week an extra chance to keep their little ones healthy. Click the picture to the left to see a video of a Clinic in action!

1st Child. In Ward. For Healthy Babies. Returned To The NNU 4 Sick Babies By Midwife
NOTICE OUR 1ST NEWBORN GIRL AGED 5 DAYS IN THIS VIDEO RAISE HER HEAD BACK MAKE A SOUND. 2ND GIRL MADE THE SAME REACTION OF RAISING HER HEAD BACK LIKE OUR 1ST NEWBORN GIRL MAKING THIS SAME SOUND AT 3 DAYS & SHE WAS HEALTHY. SOME NURSES WHO CARE FOR STABLE/SICK/CRITICAL NEWBORNS BECOME INSECURE ABOUT LETTING A BABY GO HOME WHEN IT IS READY OUT OF FEAR THE BABY WILL GET SICK AGAIN/BECOME SICK IF THE BABY GOES HOME. TRYING TO CONVINCE STAFF BABY IS NOT READY FOR HOME. BABIES ARE SEEN AS SICK IF TAKEN BACK TO NNU BY MIDWIVES UNCOMORTABLE IN HANDLING INFANTS WITH PREVIOUS NNU CARE. BABIES GIVEN BOTTLES OVER BREAST NEED TO WORK HARD FOR FOOD BY LEARNING TO ADJUST TO BREAST HAVING BEEN USED TO BOTTLE FEEDS- BOTTLE FEEDS A EASY WAY 2 GET FOOD. VIDEO: Eldest Baby Girl is taken out of the NNU setting to be given her 1st Bath at 5 days in the ward for healthy babies, by Midwife Robin in this video. Robin the same midwife in this video got upset at us for being allowed to have our daughter upstairs, before the camera was rolling, after allowing us a short amount of time alone with our 1st daughter. Robin the midwife then made the choice that sick babies like my daughter do not belong in a ward for healthy newborn babies. Our daughter who was not oxygen dependant. And a 5 day old demaning bottle feeded who drank very well from the botttle. Was now being returned to the NNU at 5 days old by midwife Robin after her 1st bath Robin gave us her parents only a brief time alone with our …
